Diest

According to the concertcalendar above Ulrikes Dream played with a couple of cool grindcore and death metal bands in Jeugdhuis Tijl in Diest.

A camera crew visited the show and some footage was used on national television in a show called “Eerlijk Gezegd“.

Upgnabbled Bones was a German death metal / grindcore band.
Grinded Artery was announced to play. They were a brutal death metal / grindcore band from France. They had a demo called “Kermit waits for bestial orgy“.  Belordeal played death metal. Both bands didn’t play. They were replaced by Disjunctor, a crazy and extreme grindcoreband. Disjunctor relased a split with Intestinal Disease in 2002. They also have a cd. Fun fact: According to discogs their vocalist was credited on it as Captaine Hadock.

There is usenet-post that describes the show:

Friday 29 october Ulrike’s Dream was supposed to play with Grinded Artery,
Belordeal and Upgnabbeld Bones @ jh Tijl.
In reality only three bands played: Ulrike’s Dream, Disjunctor and
Upgnabbeld Bones.
This is how it went:
UD played a brutal thrashy set. Lots of noise. Our crew had dressed up
wearing bandanas and sunglasses for some silly reason. It was great. Pogo
and beer. We could try out our new amplifiers.

After an hour of crazy noise, the total grind-inferno could begin.
Disjunctor opened their set by thrashing a synthesiser with a hammer. i
don’t know if it was part of the show or not. I’m not sure. If you’ve seen
D. play, you know they are very extreme and they rock like fuck. You really
should see Disjunctor live a couple of times! They make the old Napalm Death
look like what they are now.

Upgnabbeld Bones came from Eastern Germany. They play a kind of deathgrind.
BUT they use an effect pedal for the vocals. I don’t like that. Either you
shout and scream or you don’t. Their musicwas pretty ok: extreme and loud.

Bands: Upgnabbled Bones, Grinded Artery, Ulrikes Dream, Belordeal, Disjunctor

Line-up Ulrikes Dream: Sapé & Magalie (vocals), Hans (guitar), Daan (guitar), Erik (bass), Anton (drums)
